Our services are No Cost to families because of our partnerships with vetted senior living communities and home care providers. We provide resources to our clients and strive to advocate for improved quality of senior care. Senior Provisions serves Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, and Florida.

Description: Marion Senior Services is a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting the independence and well-being of older adults and individuals with disabilities throughout Marion County. Established in the 1970s, the agency provides comprehensive in-home support, case management, caregiver assistance, and transportation services that help seniors remain independent and avoid institutional care.

As the designated Community Transportation Coordinator for Marion County, Marion Senior Services operates public paratransit and ADA-accessible transportation in partnership with the Florida Department of Transportation, the Commission for the Transportation Disadvantaged, and SunTran.

Shepherd’s LightHouse has years of experience in helping families and individuals through life’s storms. Shepherd’s LightHouse has many different programs to help our communities homeless families. We are a non-profit that is funded by various different groups allowing us to help with the needs of our clients.

Along with a successful transitional living program, we also manage affordable apartment living, Bridgeway Apartments.

The Thrift Store provides us with regular income and it provides volunteer opportunities for the community. The store also provides a means for our clients to learn skills such as customer service, displaying and cashier.

Shepherd’s LightHouse continues to do outreach through the community with school supply drives and gifts for holidays such as Christmas.

Mental health, addiction recovery and trauma treatment. Red Line Rescue provider for fire/EMT, veteran/military sensitivity and trained. EMDR trained and Certified in treating sexual addiction and betrayal trauma.

SNAP provides nutritional support for low-income seniors, people with disabilities living on fixed incomes, and other individuals and families with low incomes. SNAP is a federal program administered by the Florida Department of Children and Families Office of Economic Self-Sufficiency (ESS). ESS is responsible for determining eligibility for SNAP using federal guidelines.

Sober Escorts provides individualized support services to those in recovery from addictions and/or mental health issues. We offer full time live in Recovery Companion services, Recovery and Life Coaching, Intervention Services, Case Management, Treatment referral and consultation and safe passage transportation to and from treatment around the globe.

Gain Financial Stability Through Strong Families!

Strong Families Powered by United Way of Marion County is a program focused on helping families develop financial stability and ending generational poverty through education, skill, and career development.

This initiative connects 80-90 adults and children to personal success coaches each year, helping to address homelessness, increase income, and decrease debt. Success coaches work with the families for an entire year in bi-weekly sessions.

Our mission is to support at-promise youth by offering mentoring and tutoring services that encourage youth to achieve their goals while teaching accountability and responsibility.

Ocala SSVF provides temporary and supportive services for Veterans and Veteran families with low or no income. The goal of the program is to promote housing stability through assistance and support services to homeless persons or those at risk of homelessness.

Qualifications for this Program

• Must be a Veteran who was discharged under conditions other than dishonorable.
• Must be homeless or in danger of becoming homeless
• Meet income guidelines where individuals/households earn no more than 50% Area Median Income.

• Assistance with applying for Veterans Affairs and other mainstream benefits
