The Marion County Hospital District has partnered with Marion County Public Schools to offer free services at Howard Academy located at 306 NW 7 Ave. Building 3, Ocala, FL 34475. The Community Home Project assists families with employment, educational tutoring and continuing education, healthcare navigation and dental clinics, fitness and nutrition classes (diabetes education, grocery orders) and much more.

AL-ANON FAMILY GROUPS
Al_Anon and Alateen carry the message of hope to those who feel helpless, lost and lonely due to the effects of someone’s alcoholism. The groups meet to give experience, strength and hope to newcomers by sharing their own experience and

CHILDREN’S HOME SOCIETY HEALTHY FAMILIES
Health Families is a free, voluntary support program for expecting parents. As a participant, a Family Support Specialist will visit you in your home to offer support in parenting and encourage you in achieving your life goals. We offer the program to families living in Marion County who are expecting a baby or have a newborn under the age of three months. Once enrolled you can stay in the program for five years.

STRONG FAMILIES
Gain Financial Stability Through Strong Families!
Strong Families Powered by United Way of Marion County is a program focused on helping families develop financial stability and ending generational poverty through education, skill, and career development.
This initiative connects 80-90 adults and children to personal success coaches each year, helping to address homelessness, increase income, and decrease debt. Success coaches work with the families for an entire year in bi-weekly sessions.
Families interested in the program may be referred by a local agency and can register at http://www.uwmc.org/StrongFamilies.

The Florida Department of Health in Marion County provides a wide variety of public health services. HEALTHY START
Healthy Start is a free home visiting program that provides education and care coordination to pregnant women and families of children under the age of three. The goal of the program is to lower risk factors associated with preterm birth, low birth weight, infant mortality and poor developmental outcomes.
