Benefit overview
Administered by the Department of Veterans Affairs, GI Bill benefits help you pay for college, graduate school and training programs. Since 1944, the GI Bill has helped qualifying veterans and their family members get money to cover all or some of the costs for school or training. Veterans and their dependents may qualify for GI Bill benefits through the Post-9/11 GI Bill, the Montgomery GI Bill Active Duty or the Montgomery GI Bill Selected Reserve.
How to access this benefit
When applying for GI Bill benefits, determine whether you are eligible for the GI Bill. If you are eligible, you will need to gather the following documents:

Good Days Effective Compensation
Good Days is a national non-profit charitable organization that lifts the burdens of chronic illness through assistance, advocacy, and awareness. Eligibility Criteria:
- Patient must have valid Social Security number to apply for assistance and receive treatment in the United States.
- Patient income must be at or below 500% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL.)
- Patient is required to have insurance coverage which covers at least 50% of the cost of treatment.
- Patient must be diagnosed with a covered disease and program must be accepting enrollments.
- Patient must be seeking assistance for a prescribed medication that is FDA approved to treat the covered diagnosis.

Hampton Dental Clinic
Department of Health – Marion County’s dental program serves patients at the College of Central Florida Hampton Center. The partnership allows the department to help serve the dental needs of Marion County’s underserved children and adults while also giving students studying dental assisting important training to perform as efficient dental professionals. DOH-Marion also sees children at the Marion County Head Start campus in Ocala and provides preventive services in area schools. DOH-Marion also works with fourth year dental students from the University of Florida which provides them the opportunity to meet and learn from our dentists and to help serve our clients.
Additionally, DOH-Marion provides services to and accommodates the needs of children and adults with specials needs and intellectual and developmental disabilities.
